Lutheran Girl Pioneers (LGP) is a Christ-centered organization for girls. LGP welcomes girls of all spiritual backgrounds; you do not need to be a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Girl Pioneers encourages girls and leaders to do all things according to God’s Word and out of love and respect for God. LGP offers opportunities for fellowship and encourages service to family, church, and the community. LGP provides opportunities to discover and develop interests in Leadership, Personal Awareness, Evangelism, Recreation, and Skills for Independent Living. All skills are learned to glorify God and to foster Christian love, friendship, and responsibility.
At our awards program, LGP awards Girl Pioneers who have accomplished their special achievements and also recognizes Girl Pioneers with outstanding attendance at our meetings. Girls must attend at least 3 of the regular meetings and join LGP by December to be awarded in May. LGP meetings are held monthly.
LGP encourages girls to achieve and advance beginning as Sunbeams (K-2nd grade), continuing as Travelers (Grades 3 & 4), Trailblazers (Grades 5 & 6) and Homesteaders (Grades 7 & 8). High school students and LGP graduates are Junior Leaders. Sunbeams who are graduating into Travelers will receive their charm bracelet. LGP awards charms for those achievements earned. Some examples of charms earned include: Nature, Sewing, Food & Nutrition, Babysitting, etc.
We look forward to sharing our Savior’s love with you through this Christ-centered youth organization. Please contact the school or church for further information or if you would like your daughter to participate in Girl Pioneers.
